For data protection purposes, Swift Aero Ltd is the controller of personal data collected through this website’s forms.
What this notice covers
This notice explains how we handle personal data when you use swift.aero, including when you register interest for email updates or submit a job application via the website.
It does not describe a live drone-delivery consumer service or user accounts. We do not currently offer those on this site.
What we collect
Register interest form
If you use the “Register interest” form, we collect:
- your email address; and
- your consent to receive occasional email updates from Swift Aero.
We do not ask you to create an account. Updates are occasional (for example launch news). You can unsubscribe at any time using the details in those emails or by contacting us.
Job application form
If you apply for a role through the careers pages, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- an optional LinkedIn, portfolio or CV link (a URL you provide; we do not host files on this website);
- an optional short note; and
- the role you applied for.
We do not publish a careers inbox address on the apply form.
Technical data used briefly for abuse prevention
When you submit a form, our application may briefly use your IP address in memory to apply a short-term rate limit (to reduce spam and abuse). This rate-limit state is short-lived and is not shared between server instances, and our application code does not write your IP address to a database or to our own application logs. Separately, our hosting provider may record IP addresses in standard server access logs as part of running the platform — see Vercel under “Who processes data for us” below.
Our forms also include a hidden “honeypot” field, used only to catch automated spam. It is not intended for you to complete and is not used to identify you for any other purpose.
What we do not collect via this site
- We set no cookies for analytics, advertising, or site functionality described in this notice.
- We run no analytics scripts on this site.
- We do not collect payment details through this website.
How we use your data and our lawful basis

We only send email updates where you have given consent via the register-interest form. Job application details are used only for recruitment for the role you applied for. We do not buy marketing lists or use your email for unrelated third-party advertising.
Who processes data for us
We use carefully chosen service providers (“processors” or sub-processors) to run the site and deliver messages:
EmailJS
Form submissions (including register-interest signups and job applications) are sent by our server to EmailJS, a third-party email delivery service, which delivers the notification to Swift Aero’s mailbox. EmailJS therefore processes your email address and related submission content for that delivery purpose. Application notifications are routed to our careers mailbox; the address is not shown on the website form.
- International transfers: EmailJS is a US-based provider, so your submission data is transferred outside the UK. We rely on the transfer safeguards required by UK data protection law for this transfer, and you can ask us for details of the mechanism we use.
Vercel
This website is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting platforms, Vercel’s infrastructure may process technical request data (for example standard server access logs) as part of providing the hosting service. That behaviour is part of Vercel’s platform, not something our site application uses for analytics.
- International transfers / logs: Vercel is a US-based provider, so hosting and related infrastructure involve processing outside the UK. We rely on the transfer safeguards required by UK data protection law, and you can ask us for details.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep data
- Register-interest emails (including any copy in our email mailbox): kept on our updates list until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, at which point we remove your email from the list. We review the list from time to time and may ask you to re-confirm your interest or remove inactive contacts.
- Job applications (including copies in our email mailbox): kept for up to 12 months after the recruitment process for that role ends, unless we need to keep them longer to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or you ask us to keep your details for future roles.
- Rate-limiting IP data: held only transiently in server memory; not retained by our application as a stored record.
- Hosting logs: subject to Vercel’s standard platform retention periods.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set cookies and does not run analytics as of the date of this notice. If that changes, we will update this notice and, where required, provide appropriate controls or information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase data in certain circumstances;
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
- data portability where applicable.
These rights are not absolute. They depend on the situation and the law.

Automated decision-making
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Children
This website and our email updates are intended for adults, such as prospective customers and job applicants. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it.
